- All 100 marathons completed must be official marathons where the marathon distance has been confirmed by the event organizers, and for which results are published or distributed and, ideally, individual finisher’s certificates issued. - The marathons must be completed in your given name and may be at an event held in any country. - Each marathon must be carried out in one stage – i.e. continuously. Marathons completed otherwise will not be recognised or counted as a marathon. - Virtual marathons are not recognised as eligible events and will not count. For full details of the criteria for eligibility to apply for membership of the 100 Marathon Club New Zealand please download the complete information below: |
how to applyApplication to join is based on eligibility criteria, including being a permanent resident or citizen of New Zealand, being met to the satisfaction of the Club Committee.
1. Download the 'Completed Marathon Schedule' (Excel Spreadsheet) template and use it to create a printable list of your eligible marathon finishes in chronological order. 2. Create a physical 'Results File' (printed out and collated in chronological order) containing either A) copies of your finisher certificates, or B) print outs of each finishing result clearly showing each marathons event name, date and your recorded finish time for every completed marathon. 3. Download, print out and complete the 'Membership Application Form' and attach this to your 'Completed Marathon Schedule' and 'Results File' for submission. 4. Contact one of our Committee Members to submit your complete (three-part) application for verification. Once your marathons are verified by the committee member, and subsequently the Chairman of the Club, your application to the club will be announced to the members and your name added to our list of Centurions or Associate Members. If you have completed 100 marathons you will be allocated your own personal Centurion number (chronological numbering based on achieving 100 marathon status and joining the 100 Marathon Club NZ). If possible, please provide the Committee advance warning of your upcoming 100th marathon (or subsequent milestones) to ensure we may verify your marathons prior to your milestone event. Note: additional celebratory gifts (other than the club trophy and certificate), and the organisation of celebration events, are not provided by the 100 Marathon Club NZ. |
